My geriatric Giant Schnauzer, who is almost 14 years old, came to me as a "rescue" 12 years ago. Within a week or so, we were at the emergency vet. Gino (short for Ginormous) had swallowed a toy, which then embedded in his intestines. Surgeon said he has a "guardian angel" because his intestine burst (!) during surgery -- and doctors then had a chance to prevent sepsis. SO, having high value nutritional food -- such as Green Juju Lamb Recipe, which is easy to digest -- is at the top of our list. My furry friend, Gino, is an over-the-top enthusiastic eater of Green Juju. Can I say "gobbles it down?" Transition period from regular eats to Green Juju raw was easy.
